About QNT

QNT Was Created by Assi Rose
to Make Reading Music Simple
QNT (Quick Notation Technique) is a simplified notation approach developed by Assi Rose to make quality sheet music easier to read, easier to learn, and more enjoyable to play.
Unlike traditional methods that often require months of study before playing recognizable music, QNT is designed to help you begin making music from your very first lessons. By placing the note names (Do–Re–Mi) above the standard notation, students naturally learn to read music while playing real pieces, building reading skills without feeling overwhelmed.
Inspired by years of performing, teaching, and arranging music, QNT combines clarity with musical expression. Every arrangement is carefully prepared to preserve the beauty, character, and emotion of the original work while reducing unnecessary complexity, allowing students to focus on rhythm, phrasing, and musicality.
The collection includes music inspired by classical masterpieces, tango, Balkan, Slavic, Romani, and other folk traditions from around the world. Each arrangement is thoughtfully graded, making it suitable for beginners and developing musicians who want to expand their repertoire with music that is both beautiful and rewarding to play.
QNT also offers flexible learning options. Depending on the edition, players can choose between a simplified left-hand accompaniment written in bass clef or a rhythm-grid system that combines chord symbols with rhythmic guides, encouraging creativity while keeping accompaniment easy to understand.
With its clean, spacious layout and carefully designed notation, QNT removes much of the confusion often associated with learning sheet music. The result is a method that helps students gain confidence, develop solid reading skills, and enjoy making music from the very beginning.
Whether you are picking up an instrument for the first time or returning after many years, QNT provides a practical and inspiring path to learning the music you love.
